A technician capable of diagnosing and repairing most systems of the automobile, with little guidance or
support from an A-Tech, Shop Foreman, or Team Leader. Efficient and effective at on the job learning to apply
to new vehicles and technology when concerns arise. Improved diagnostic skills through training & experience,
and competent in complex mechanical repairs.
Additional Information
Production Bonus: The technician will be eligible for a production bonus of an additional $ rate per hour turned as follows based on hours turned in a 2-week pay period.
Combined two-week Hour bonus:
100 hours - $1.00
110 hours - $1.25
120 hours - $1.50
130 hours - $1.75
140 hours - $2.00
• Paid on a regular Biweekly Paycheck
Warranty Production Bonus: Technicians Qualify once they produce 50 hours of more in warranty flag time.
iOnce Production amount is achieved the technician will receive the bonus back to hour 1 for the amount produced in a month.
A Level Technician - $5 Bonus Per Hour
B Level Technician - $3 Bonus Per Hour
C Level Technician - $1 Bonus Per Hour
• Bonus to be paid out on the 15th of the following month.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician.
• Completes 360 Inspection.
• Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
• Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
• Communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
• Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
• Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
• Road-test vehicles to quality-check work performed.
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
• Follows safety guidelines from CDC, OSHA, and Health Department.
• Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
MARGINAL DUTIES: Marginal Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
• Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
• Supervises work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
• Keeps shop area neat and clean.
• Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must obtain and maintain any certificates, licenses, and registrations as required by Dealership.
Must maintain a valid Driver's License that meets dealership insurability requirements.

C-Technician Required Certifications
• Suspension and Steering Certification for Auto/Light Truck

• Electrical/Electronic Systems Certification for Auto/Light Truck
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to stand/sit up to 8 hours at a time without restrictions.
• Must be able to lift to 40 pounds without restrictions.
• Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
• Must be able to enter and exit vehicle without issue.
