Overall Summary

Provide customers (both internal and external) requested parts and accessories in a timely manner. In addition to specifying the correctly needed items, the Parts Counterperson is responsible to solicit additional sales; charges out merchandise using the Dealer Management System, follow-up on special orders, tag, store and process warranty parts, assist in conducting inventory cycle counts and keep inventory area, parts counter and retail area/displays clean and orderly.

Hours: Monday-Friday 7am - 5pm or 8am - 6pm every other Saturday 7am-2pm
Automotive knowledge preferred (need to understand what part the customers are requesting to purchase). Reliable with a great attitude. Besides looking up/billing out parts - Other job duties include but not limited to: Delivering parts, breaking down & recycling boxes, pulling orders, putting away stock.

You'll be responsible for providing customer service by listening to customer inquiries and supplying parts in a timely manner. You'll match parts for technicians, cost parts on invoices, coordinate with the service department, stock incoming products, track inventory, handle retail customers, and fill wholesale parts requests. A valid driver's license, at least some parts counter experience, and good computer skills are required for this role

Greet customers, determine their needs, and provide excellent customer service and satisfaction
Establish a method of payment
Handle all parts telephone inquiries regarding parts purchase
Parts distribution to service technicians
Accept warranty parts and cores for return
Return all warranty parts to factory via proper marking/tagging procedure as dictated by factory
Process all pertinent documents and associated parts
Actively identify related parts needed on repair jobs
Advise customer or Service Consultant of all parts stocking status
Ensure Parts Department security for all parts and paperwork
Write purchase orders for parts and sublet work required from outside suppliers and get management approval
Use the computer system consistently and accurately to post sales and track lost sales
Provide necessary information to the Parts Manager for special orders, emergency purchase, and lost sales
Maintain parts in correct locations and bins
Keep work and department area clean
Help with taking out garbage and boxes
Keep up to date on all training and certification
Responsible for pulling and stocking parts inventory
Run bin "spot checks" as directed
Be responsible for receiving money and cashing out customers
Establish good communications between associates in parts and other departments

Employment Position: Full Time

Salary: $19.00 - $21.00 Hourly
