Overall Summary

As a service consultant you will be responsible for initiating automotive services and repairs by ascertaining vehicle performance problems and service requests; verifying warranty and service contract coverage; developing estimates; writing repair orders; maintaining customer records. You will serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician; ensuring the customer's needs are understood by the technician and the needed and recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer.

What You'll Do
Greet customers promptly and professionally.
Listen carefully to customer concerns and document repair requests accurately.
Recommend maintenance and repair services based on manufacturer guidelines and vehicle inspections.
Present estimates and explain service recommendations in a clear, customer-friendly manner.
Communicate regularly with customers regarding vehicle status and repair progress.
Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely and accurate repairs.
Review completed repairs with customers and explain work performed.
Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Meet performance goals related to customer pay sales, hours per repair order, and customer satisfaction.
QualificationsPreferred Experience
Previous Service Advisor experience in an automotive dealership or independent repair facility.
Strong sales and customer service skills.
Ability to build trust and rapport with customers.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Proficiency with dealership management systems and computer software.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Proficient in the use of CDK & X-Time
