Pay: $41.00–$50.00 per Flag Hour

Edmond Hyundai is looking for an experienced A+ Lead Automotive Technician to join our high-volume service department. We are seeking a highly skilled technician who can confidently diagnose complex automotive concerns, perform major repairs, and serve as a technical leader for the shop.

Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical automotive concerns
Perform advanced diagnostic procedures using factory and professional diagnostic equipment
Complete major engine, transmission, driveline, electrical, HVAC, and suspension repairs
Perform advanced troubleshooting and accurately identify root causes of vehicle concerns
Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
Perform manufacturer-recommended maintenance and repairs
Inspect completed work to ensure repairs meet dealership and manufacturer standards
Assist other technicians with difficult diagnostics and repair procedures
Serve as a technical resource and leader within the service department
Follow all manufacturer procedures and dealership safety guidelines
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Accurately document diagnostic findings and repairs
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of professional automotive technician experience required
Proven experience diagnosing and repairing complex automotive systems
Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
Previous dealership experience strongly preferred
Hyundai experience is a plus
Ability to efficiently diagnose problems and determine the correct repair
Strong understanding of modern automotive systems and technology
Professional attitude and strong work ethic
Reliable attendance and ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Must provide your own professional hand tools

The ideal candidate is an A+ level technician who can work independently, diagnose difficult problems, and consistently produce high-quality repairs. You should be comfortable taking on the toughest diagnostic and repair work in the shop while also helping develop and support other technicians.

Hyundai welcomes experienced technicians from other OEMs. The program allows technicians with training from an industry-recognized source, other than Hyundai, to test out of certain Hyundai instructor-led technical training courses, provided they meet certain requirements.
