Kansas City Hyundai is looking for an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our growing service department. Compensation
$30–$50 per Flag Hour
Compensation is based on experience, certifications, and productivity.

Responsibilities
• Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance according to manufacturer and dealership standards.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns efficiently and accurately.
• Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, brake service, and fluid services.
• Inspect vehicles and complete multi-point inspections.

Diagnose, maintain, and repair:
o Gasoline Engines
o Automatic & Manual Transmissions
o Electrical & Electronic Systems
o Steering & Suspension
o Brake Systems
o Heating & Air Conditioning (HVAC)
o Cooling Systems
o Drivetrain Components

• Utilize factory scan tools and computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Perform warranty repairs following manufacturer specifications.
• Test drive vehicles before and after repairs when necessary.
• Communicate repair recommendations with Service Advisors.
• Accurately document repair orders, inspections, and completed work.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow all OSHA and dealership safety procedures.

Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of Automotive Service Technician experience preferred.
• ASE Certification required.
• B-Level Technician skills preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Engine repair experience.
• Experience performing brake, suspension, steering, HVAC, and drivability repairs.
• Ability to operate factory scan tools and electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dealership environment.
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Team-oriented with excellent communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Hyundai welcomes experienced technicians from other OEMs. The program allows technicians with training from an industry-recognized source, other than Hyundai, to test out of certain Hyundai instructor-led technical training courses, provided they meet certain requirements.
