Overall Summary

As a service consultant you will be responsible for initiating automotive services and repairs by ascertaining vehicle performance problems and service requests; verifying warranty and service contract coverage; developing estimates; writing repair orders; maintaining customer records. You will serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician; ensuring the customer's needs are understood by the technician and the needed and recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer.

Additional Information

We are looking for a customer-focused Hyundai Service Advisor to join our service team. In this role, you’ll be the main point of contact for customers, guiding them through the entire service experience from check-in to vehicle delivery while selling needed maintenance and repairs.
Greet customers promptly and professionally; listen carefully to their concerns and vehicle symptoms.

Review vehicle history, maintenance records, and manufacturer-recommended service intervals to identify needed services.

Write up accurate repair orders (ROs) with clear descriptions of customer concerns, recommended services, labor, parts, time, and cost estimates.

Explain estimates, warranties, and service contracts to customers; obtain approval before work begins.

Act as the liaison between customers and technicians, ensuring repairs are understood and completed correctly.

Monitor repair progress throughout the day and keep customers updated on status, timing, and any additional recommendations.

Present the final invoice, explain all work performed, and answer questions about charges and future maintenance.

Promote and sell labor, parts, accessories, and prepaid maintenance plans to increase service department revenue.

Address and resolve customer concerns and complaints quickly and professionally.

Maintain high Customer Satisfaction (CSI) scores and meet personal and department sales goals.

Keep the service drive, waiting area, and paperwork organized and compliant with dealership and Hyundai standards.

Participate in ongoing training on Hyundai products, service procedures, and sales techniques.

Qualifications & Requirements
Prior automotive service advisor experience preferred (1–2+ years), but we will train motivated candidates with strong retail or customer service backgrounds.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable speaking with customers face-to-face and by phone.

Strong sales ability with a focus on ethical, consultative selling.

Detail-oriented with solid organizational and time-management skills; able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Basic computer proficiency; experience with dealership management systems (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds) is a plus.

Professional appearance and attitude; team player with a positive, solution-oriented mindset.

Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass pre-employment screening (background and drug test).

Employment Position: Full Time

Salary: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 Yearly
