Job Title: Dealer Trade Driver
Job Summary:
The Dealer Trade Driver is responsible for transporting vehicles between dealerships for trade purposes. This position plays a key role in ensuring timely and professional delivery and pickup of vehicles, supporting dealership sales and inventory operations. The ideal candidate is reliable, courteous, and has a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safely drive dealership vehicles to and from partner dealerships, auction locations, and other destinations.
• Inspect vehicles before and after transport for any damage or irregularities and report findings to management.
• Accurately complete all required documentation related to vehicle trades and transport.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing the dealership.
• Communicate clearly with the sales and inventory team regarding scheduling, delays, or vehicle issues.
• Ensure the interior and exterior of vehicles are kept clean and presentable during transportation.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and dealership policies.
• Assist with basic lot duties as needed, including organizing inventory and moving vehicles on the lot.
Qualifications:
o Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
o High school diploma or equivalent.
o Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles (preferred).
o Excellent time management and organizational skills.
o Dependable and able to work with minimal supervision.
o Friendly and professional demeanor.
o Must be able to sit, stand, and drive for extended periods.
o Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Work Environment:
o Work is primarily performed outdoors and on the road.
o May involve long periods of driving and occasional overnight trips (depending on dealership needs).
