Appel Ford and Hyundai of Brenham are seeking a Certified Automotive Service Technician with factory credentials from Ford, Hyundai, or both manufacturers. This is an incredible opportunity for a master-level professional looking for a high-volume shop with an endless supply of warranty, recall, and customer-pay work.

Rate Based on Experience
Base rates are aggressively scaled based directly on your current Ford or Hyundai training levels.
Additional performance bonuses available for high-efficiency producers.
Confidentiality: All applications and inquiries from currently employed technicians will be held in the absolute strictest confidence.
Work Requirements
Certifications: Active factory training credentials from either Ford or Hyundai are highly preferred.
Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
Tools: Ownership of a professional, comprehensive set of automotive tools and a mobile roll-around cart.
Ability to commute to Brenham, TX.
Responsibilities
Advanced Diagnostics: Utilize manufacturer-specific diagnostic software (including Ford IDS/FDRS and Hyundai GDS) to isolate complex mechanical, electrical, and computer network issues.
Precision Repairs: Perform high-quality mechanical and electrical repairs on engines, transmissions, advanced safety systems, and drivetrains to exacting factory specifications.
Factory Compliance: Execute manufacturer safety recalls, specialized technical service bulletins, and warranty work according to strict brand guidelines.
Quality Control: Adhere to Fixed Right First Time guidelines to ensure absolute vehicle safety and eliminate comebacks.
Professional Write-Ups: Complete clear, detailed documentation of diagnostic steps, root causes, and exact corrections for warranty compliance.
Continuous Education: Participate in fully paid, ongoing factory training modules and classroom sessions to keep your certifications growing.
Qualifications
2+ years of professional experience as a technician in a franchise dealership environment.
Deep knowledge of modern automotive electronic systems, complex wiring diagrams, and mechanical logic.
High level of personal integrity, a strong work ethic, and a team-first mindset.
ASE certifications are highly valued alongside your manufacturer credentials.

Hyundai Technical Training Equivalency Assessment Program

Hyundai welcomes experienced technicians from other OEMs. The program allows technicians with training from an industry-recognized source, other than Hyundai, to test out of certain Hyundai instructor-led technical training courses, provided they meet certain requirements.
