A technician capable of diagnosing and repairing most systems of the automobile, with little guidance or support from an A-Tech, Shop Foreman, or Team Leader. Efficient and effective at on the job learning to apply to new vehicles and technology when concerns arise. Improved diagnostic skills through training & experience, and competent in complex mechanical repairs.

Compensation: Up to $26.75/hr based on production!

Initial Requirements:
Automotive degree/certificate or minimum of 3 years related professional experience required
Current ASE Certifications required

What You’ll Do:
Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs while following standard operating procedures and safety guidelines, as well as being held to meeting pre-determined performance standards.
Responsible for handling work on the Exhaust system of a vehicle, changing and rotating tires, battery installation and battery cable replacement
Perform installation of accessories and shock absorbers, not including; A/C and air shocks
Responsible for replacing coolant hoses, mirrors, belts, signals, W/S washers, head Lamps and bulbs as well as aligning and replacing the lamp assembly and courtesy switch
Perform brake inspections, wheel balancing, drains and flushes, as well as door and window adjustments
Clean and Replace P.C.V
Diagnose and fix squeaks and rattles, wind noise and water leaks
Perform manufacturer minor recalls
Perform work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended
Document all work performed on the repair order
Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by service manager and remain up to date.

Additional Things You Bring:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and be on your feet for extended periods of time
Must be able to lift, lower, push, leverage, and manipulate equipment and/or items weighing up to 50 pounds
Must be reliable and have a good work ethic
Must work well as a member of a team
Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Hyundai Technical Training Equivalency Assessment Program

Hyundai welcomes experienced technicians from other OEMs. The program allows technicians with training from an industry-recognized source, other than Hyundai, to test out of certain Hyundai instructor-led technical training courses, provided they meet certain requirements.
